I have read and re read the different e books when I need inspiration to do my work out. By the time I am 2 paragraphs in (to Female Fat Loss Over 40), I am ready to get my work out clothes on and go for it. I really enjoy the challenging work outs and the audio book with the different timing intervals makes it easy!! I am really enjoying your program, particularly these 2 months which are especially busy for me. I can’t always make it to Boot camp but I feel so much better when I exercise. Hey Shawna, I bought the FFLO about a month ago and have finally started using it on Tuesday. I quit waiting for Monday to start it. It's just been 3 days but I can already tell that it is working. I sleep better and want to eat better so that I'll see results. How can I mess up with menus and workouts spelled out for me? I know what I need to do and have worked with trainers over the years to know that your program will work. For me it has just been a matter of getting started. I gained 15 lbs over the winter and need to get it off. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with Type 2 diabetes so exercise is a key part of my health. I love to walk / run but I know that with the interval training I will not only see the results I want on my body but my blood sugar will be where it needs to be. The interval training is a great workout for me in the morning. Then in the evenings I can walk for stress relief and to just relax. I saw myself in your message yesterday about the woman who still tries to walk everyday for 2 hours - who has time for that? I enjoy your blogs and am glad that I found you on Facebook! Working from Home?

Make your home office a space of inspiration and productivity.

When the pandemic hit in early spring, businesses had to make big changes. Many were forced to close their doors and millions of people lost their jobs. Other businesses were able to adapt by closing their physical doors, but remain open for business by having their employees work from home. More and more people have found themselves working remotely the past few months. While they used to wake up early, dress for success, and commute to the office, they are now in their pjs, sitting on the couch, and working on their laptop.

If you’re now working remotely, you’ve probably set up a home office. Feel your space isn’t conducive to productivity? Here are seven things to consider to make your home office a place where you can be productive, focused, and comfortable.

1: Space

Zoom calls, phone conversations, and email writing is a lot more challenging when the kids are running around the house, the dishes are piling up, and the television is blaring. The main thing to consider when setting up a home office is location. The living room and kitchen are not ideal places to get work done. If space allows, a home office should be in a separate room or at least a room with a door that can be closed to minimize distractions.

2: Desk

Sitting on the couch to work on a computer for hours at a time is not good for your back or neck. Take care of yourself by setting up an office space that promotes good posture. Your desk should be approximately 29 inches high depending on your height. Ideally, the desk should have a pull out tray that’s two inches lower than the desk for your keyboard. When you sit up straight in your chair, your arms should rest parallel to the floor. Your wrists should not be bent, but rest against the desk.

3: Chair

The right chair plays a big part in helping you maintain good posture. Look for a chair that has an adjustable height, that gives lumbar support to your lower back, and has adjustable armrests. The goal is to be comfortable, while supporting proper posture and ergonomics.

4: Monitor

To avoid neck and back strain, make sure your computer monitor is placed at the right height. While sitting up straight and looking straight ahead, the top of the screen should be slightly above eye level. You may need to place the monitor on some sort of riser to achieve this height.

The quality of your computer screen also matters. Having a small screen with a high level of brightness and low resolution will cause more strain on your eyes.

5: Internet

High-quality, high-speed internet service is important to avoid intermittent outages or frozen Zoom calls. Work with your internet service provider to set up the level of service you need to get your job done without interruption. You may need updated equipment for your Wifi connections.

6: Headset

A headset is helpful if other people are sleeping, studying, playing, or working near your office space. Wearing a headset prevents others from hearing the noise of your phone calls or conference meetings. Having a headset also protects your neck from cradling a phone for long periods of time.

7: Environment

You want your office space to be an inviting place to spend eight hours of your day. Incorporate your own personal style in the decor. Set out family pictures, a few potted plants, and a lamp or two. Position your desk near a window for natural lighting. Paint the walls a color that stimulates creativity. Create systems of organization to clear your desk and office space of unnecessary clutter.
